Do what really matters to you.

I was having a conversation with a friend of mine and discussing the various twists and turns of life we are subjected to. How often do we compromise and live for the sake of those who matter to us the most?
Sometimes we do things we don’t like because we are supposed to do that way to make someone happy….it could be anyone, a teacher, a lover, spouse, kids, family …just about anyone. We know we are not happy to do so but we compromise. Your mind says it is right to do so at that point of time while your heart says, do what really matters to you. Have you been in that situation ever?
Not coincidentally, this topic is becoming increasingly important to me.
Whether you believe it or not, we are the supreme authority of our life and we can choose the way we want it to go. So if you are not designing your life the way you want it, then somebody else is. DECISIONS are the key here. There is only one thing in life you can’t choose – that is that you have choice. Everything in life has 2 options. Option One is good for others and the other may be good or bad for others but good for you.
But remember, when you become bold and start taking decisions for yourself, then the life you will have will be designed by you and you alone. You will be responsible for it. Be aware of differentiating good from bad, and live your life by doing what matters to you the most.
Here are some tips about how to do what matters to you most:
1. Choose:  How are you spending your time and energy? Are you making conscious choices or are you doing what you think you “should” do and “have to” do? Consider whether or not what you are doing is worth expending your life force on.
2. Breakthrough your fears and doubts: These are simply voices that resist change and growth. They have nothing to do with reality. Choose a new reality. Learn to quiet the voices of fear so you can get on with your life.
3. Claim your dreams without reservation: What’s right for you may not be right for me, what’s wrong for you may not be wrong for me. ” Everyone has some standards.
God has planted in our hearts knowledge of what’s right and wrong. It’s called a conscience – like a smoke detector which goes off in the presence of evil. We have the ability to recognize evil.
What is something exciting in your life that you know is based on a BOLD DECISION you made?
Follow your conscience. There is nothing good or bad. How your conscience treats it more important. If you conscience says its wrong, stay away from doing that.
